Abbey Freed

Landscape Designer
she/her

Abbey is rooted between Ponderosa pine stands and shrub steppe scablands in North Central Washington. With respect and curiosity for the stories embedded in these landscapes, she views design as a means to engage with the region’s constantly evolving narrative. Passionate about advancing the field’s engagement with rural landscapes, her approach centers on fostering community resilience through deep listening, relationship building, and honoring the ecological and cultural complexities of place.

Abbey joined ABLE in 2024 as a landscape designer. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Montana State University and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
