Landscape Designer

Ari joined ABLE in 2023 as a landscape designer. They are passionate about using design to support collective agency and create more just, joyful, and resilient futures for communities impacted by disinvestment and the climate crisis. With experience in both community organizing and climate adaptation research, they bring a co-design approach that centers community self-determination, relationship building, and environmental justice. Prior to ABLE, they worked in neighborhood economic development and urban agriculture, collaborating with resident leaders in Philadelphia to transform vacant sites into beloved community spaces.

They received a Master in Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor in Urban Studies from Vassar College.
